Neeraj Chopra Wins the Doha Diamond League 2023

The Diamond League is a series of track and field sporting events which is held annually. It includes hurdles, discus, pole vault and javelin throws for men and women. The Diamond League was founded by the international governing body for athletic sports called World Athletics in 2010. This year, the 14th edition of the Diamond League was held in Doha, which is the capital of Qatar. 

On May 5, Neeraj Chopra won the Diamond League 2023. The win also ensured him a wild card entry into the World Athletics Championship which will be held in Budapest, Hungary in August 2023. Neeraj’s first attempt at javelin throw of 88.67 meters secured his win, which also set the world lead this year. None of the other athletes were able to beat this benchmark. Jakub Vadlejch stood second with his best attempt throw of 88.63 meters and with a best attempt of 85.88 meters, Anderson Peters stood third.
