New Chief Ministers For Three Indian States

The results of the Assembly Elections of the five states of Madhya Pradesh, Rajasthan, Telangana, Mizoram and Chhattisgarh were out on December 3. 

Out of the five states, three have welcomed their new Chief Ministers. They are Telangana, Mizoram and Chhattisgarh.

On December 7, 2023, A Revanth Reddy replaced the old CM of Telangana, K Chandrashekar Rao. He was welcomed as the new Chief Minister at Lal Bahadur stadium in Hyderabad in the presence of a huge gathering. 

Mizoram welcomed its new Chief Minister, Lalduhoma, on December 8. Lalduhoma founded the Zoram People’s Movement (ZPM), which won the Assembly Elections. He became the sixth chief minister since Mizoram became a Union Territory and a state. 

For the first time in the 23-year history of Chhattisgarh, a person from the tribal community has been elected as the new Chief Minister. Vishnu Deo Sai is a party veteran and former Union Minister. He will be taking over as the next CM before January 3, 2024.

The states of Rajasthan and Madhya Pradesh are yet to announce the names of their new Chief Ministers.
