New Moonwalk Spacesuit

New Moonwalk Spacesuit

For the first time since 1970, astronauts will be wearing new moonwalk spacesuits for their missions on the moon. After four decades, NASA has decided to redesign their space suits for the Artemis 3 mission and recently revealed a prototype at their Space Center in Houston.

These sleek and modern spacesuits were designed by a private company called Axiom Space which was hired for this job by NASA. The suits have been named Axiom Extravehicular Mobility Units or AxEMUs. They will be providing astronauts with more mobility and flexibility, especially for the moon mission which is to take place around 2025. Since it will be the first time a woman will be landing on the moon, these special suits are designed in such a way that they fit 90% of men and women of the United States.

Although the prototype of the suit revealed at the NASA Space Center, Houston, was dark gray, the original suit is said to be all white.
