New York Street Named After Tenzing Norgay
Tenzing Norgay and Sir Edmund Hillary were the first people to climb Mount Everest in 1953. Now, a street in New York city will be named Tenzing Norgay Sherpa Way to honor him and his great achievement. The idea was made a reality because of the effort of the United Sherpa Association Inc, New York. There will be an event organized at the street to honor Tenzing Norgay on May 29.
