PM Modi Launches India’s First Underwater Metro

India now has a metro train that travels underwater! In Kolkata, a new metro train has started that will travel under one of the city’s rivers. This river is named the Hooghly River. The Prime Minister of India, Mr Narendra Modi is now in Kolkata. He launched this metro ride today!

PM Modi took the first ride on the underwater metro with several school students. A video was released of PM Modi. There he was seen talking to the students. He also waved to the passengers of the other metros that passed them. 

Soon, this underwater metro ride will be available to the common people of Kolkata. This metro ride is a huge win and a special moment for India. It shows that India is growing as a country and many new and incredible things will happen here!
