PM Narendra Modi honours Sardar Vallabhai Patel on his birth anniversary

Every year on October 31st, India celebrates National Unity Day in honour of Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel. This year, Prime Minister Narendra Modi paid his respects to Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel at the Statue of Unity in Gujarat.

Sardar Vallabhai Patel was a great freedom fighter and India’s first Home Minister. He played a key role in bringing together Indian princely states after the partition and is known as the ‘Architect of Modern India.’ The Statue of Unity, introduced by PM Modi on October 31, 2018, is a tribute to his contributions.

A cultural event was organised where PM Modi carried out the Oath of Unity to the gathering. Following that, PM Modi announced the launch of various projects for India’s development.

The 148th birth anniversary of Sardar Vallabhai Patel saw the citizens of India coming together to celebrate the ‘Iron Man’ of India. His hard work led to the formation of the unified India that we see today.
