PM Narendra Modi Reveals the Gaganyaan Astronauts

India is planning on sending people to outer space! To do that, a space mission named Gaganyaan is being planned. In that mission, three astronauts will sent to outer space on a spacecraft. It will happen in 2025.

Today, our Prime Minister Narendra Modi told us the names of the astronauts for the Gaganyaan mission. They are Group Captains Prasanth Balakrishnan Nair, Ajit Krishnan, Angad Pratap, and Commander Subhanshu Shukla. To make it even more special, PM Modi gave them “astronaut wings” as a symbol that they are part of this important mission.

These four astronauts are now training for this amazing mission. Out of them, only three will go to outer space.

The space agency of India is named ISRO. They are planning to send people to the Moon by 2040! The Gaganyaan Space Mission is a huge step for India in making that possible.
