Ravichandran Ashwin Completes 500 Test Wickets

Indian cricketer, Ravichandran Ashwin took his 500th Test wicket recently. It happened during the third match of the ongoing 2024 India vs England Test Series in Gujarat. Earlier, Legendary cricketer Anil Kumble was the only Indian to have achieved this. 

During this match, Ashwin balled out English player Zak Crowley for his 500th wicket. He is- the second-fastest bowler to take 500 wickets in Test cricket. The fastest was Srilankan cricketer Muttiah Muralitharan. Ashwin and Muralitharan are the only cricketers to have taken 500 wickets within 100 test matches. 

R Ashwin is an amazing player who was the fastest to have taken 250 test wickets in the world. He set a world record in 2017 by reaching 250 wickets in just 45 matches.
