Ravichandran Ashwin Completes 500 Test Wickets

Ravichandran Ashwin is a great cricketer who plays for India. Recently, he did something amazing! He took his 500th Test wicket. When a bowler throws the ball and it hits the stump behind the batsman, the batsman gets out of the match. It is called a wicket. 

This happened during the third match of the ongoing 2024 India vs England Test Series. This test series is taking place in Gujarat, India. Test series is a special type of cricket match.  Before this, Anil Kumble was the only Indian cricketer who took so many wickets in test matches.  

R Aswin balled out English player Zak Crowley during this match. It became the 500th wicket for Ashwin. He was able to do such an amazing thing within his first 100 test matches. From this, we can see how amazing of a player R Ashwin is!
