Remembering Legendary Footballer Diego Maradona

Three years ago on this day, the amazing Argentina football player Diego Maradona passed away at the age of sixty. He was one of the best football players of all time. 

Diego Maradona was born in Buenos Aires, Argentina on 30th October 1960. At the age of three, one of his cousins gifted him a football, which started his love for the game. At just 16, he played for the Argentina National Team in 1977.

Maradona played in four FIFA World Cups. Argentina Football team won the 1986 World Cup with Maradona as the captain. He was awarded the Golden Ball as the tournament’s best player. In 1986, in a game against England, he scored two famous goals called ‘Hand of God’ and ‘Goal of the Century.’ 

 

Maradona became the coach of the Argentina team in 2008. After that, he coached many other football teams before he passed away in November 2020. During the 2022 Qatar World Cup, his fans came together to remember him on his second death anniversary. Diego Maradona will always be remembered as one of the best footballers ever.
