Royal Bengal Tiger Spotted at Mahananda Wildlife Sanctuary

Royal Bengal Tiger Spotted at Mahananda Wildlife Sanctuary

An image of a Royal Bengal Tiger was captured by a camera in Mahananda Wildlife Sanctuary for the first time in 20 years. The last time a Royal Bengal Tiger was spotted in Mahananda Wildlife Sanctuary, it was in the year 1998.

Everyone including the sanctuary officials, general public and the forest minister, Jyotipriya Mallick, were excited at this discovery. The forest minister will be traveling to Siliguri to discuss this matter and make plans on developing the wildlife sanctuary.

More cameras will be placed in the wildlife sanctuary to check whether there are other big cats in the area or more Royal Bengal Tigers.
