Satyajit Ray Statue in Jaisalmer

Satyajit Ray is also known as the Father of Indian Cinema. He has written and directed many famous movies, such as Pather Panchali and Shonar Kella. Many Bengali tourists travel to Rajasthan to see the famous forts and monuments present there, especially the ones mentioned by Satyajit Ray in his movies.

To bring in more tourists, the Rajasthan government has decided to build a statue of Satyajit Ray. The statue will be built in the city of Jaisalmer. It will be completed by September of this year.
