US Open Tennis Championships 2023 Begin Today

The US Tennis Championships are held every year in Queens, New York. The championships are one of the four Grand Slam tournaments. The others are the Australian Open, French Open and Wimbledon. All of these championships are held annually. The US Open was founded in 1881 and is one of the oldest tournaments in the world. The US Open is played on a hard court, just like the Australian Open. The French Open is played on clay surfaces and Wimbledon on grass surfaces. 

The 2023 US Open Tennis Championships will start today, August 28, and will end on September 10. Players from all around the world will compete in several events including men’s and women’s singles and doubles, boy’s and girl’s singles and doubles and men’s, women’s and quad wheelchair. The first round of the men’s and women’s singles will be played today. 

Polish tennis player, Iga Natalia, who is ranked World No. 1 in women’s singles, will be seen in action today. World No.1 in men’s singles, Carlos Alcaraz will be playing against German player Dominik Koepfer in men’s singles on August 30. Serbian player, Novak Djokovic who holds the World No. 2 rank, will compete against French player Alexandre Muller in men’s singles tomorrow.
