Wimbledon 2023

The Wimbledon Championship is the world’s oldest tennis tournament and the most esteemed. Since its establishment in 1877, it has been played at the All England Club in Wimbledon, London. Wimbledon is played on grass courts, as compared to the other three Grand Salm tennis tournaments, namely, the French Open, the Australian Open and the US Open which use hard and clay courts. The championship takes place every year for two weeks between June and July. 

This year the Wimbledon championship started on July 3, 2023, and will end on July 13, 2023. This is the 136th edition of the tournament. The qualification rounds were played in the last week of June. The events in Wimbledon 2023, are Men’s singles and doubles, Women’s singles and doubles, Boys’ singles and doubles, Girls’ singles and doubles, Mixed doubles and Men’s and Women’s wheelchair players. 

Some of the players who will be participating in the tournament are Novak Djokovic, Carlos Alcaraz, Jannik Sinner and Holger Rune. Only one Indian player, Ankita Raina, will be seen playing in the Women’s singles at Wimbledon 2023. Rohan Bopanna will be seen playing in the Men’s doubles.
