World Athletics Championships 2023

The World Athletics Championships are a series of track and field sports tournaments. The championships are held once every two years. It is organised by the international governing committee of athletic sports called World Athletics. The first edition of the championships was played in 1983 in Finland.

This year, the 2023 World Athletics Championships will be held at the National Athletics Centre in Budapest, Hungary. The tournament is scheduled to take place between August 19 to 27. This will be the 19th edition of the championships. There will be 49 different athletic sports events played in the tournament, such as hurdles, relays, marathons, long-distance walking, javelin, discus and hammer throws and more. 

India will be sending 28 of its best athletes to participate in the 2023 World Athletics Championships. Out of the 28 athletes, 15 will be participating in the championships for the first time. The Indian contingent will consist of 42 members. It will include the 28 athletes, coaches and other support staff. The contingent will be led by the Indian Olympian and talented javelin thrower Neeraj Chopra.
