World Earth Day 2024

Our Earth is our home. It gives us a place to live, clean water, food and everything else we need. However, our Earth is facing many problems. People are cutting down trees and polluting our world. Also, days are getting hotter and animals are losing their places to live. 

To fight these problems, we celebrate World Earth Day on 22 April, every year. It is a special day that shows us that the world needs our help. The first Earth Day was celebrated in 1970.

Every year a different theme is selected for this day. In 2024, the theme of this day is “Planet vs Plastic.” This theme shows us plastic is bad for the environment. 

On Earth Day, people from around the world come together to help our Earth. They plant trees and clean up parks and beaches. Schools often host events to teach kids how to save the planet. This day gives us a chance to make our world a better place for everyone.
