World Heritage Day 2024

Every year on April 18th, we celebrate World Heritage Day. It is a special day that shows us how important it is to maintain the beautiful places in the world. We also call it the International Day for Monuments and Sites. This day shows us why it is important to take care of heritage sites.  

What is a heritage site? A heritage site or monument is a special place which is part of history. In India, we have many such sites, like the Taj Mahal and the Ajanta Caves. We need to take good care of important things from the past so that we don’t lose them.

This year, in 2024, the theme of World Heritage Day is ‘Discover and Experience Diversity.’ The main goal of this day is to protect and save beautiful monuments all around the world.
