World Wildlife Day 2024

Every year on March 3rd, we celebrate World Wildlife Day around the world. This day serves as a reminder for the need to protect animals and plants. With the rise in climate change and pollution, this day provides an important platform to discuss the need to raise awareness and call people to action. 

On 20th December 2013, the United Nations General Assembly announced March 3rd as World Wildlife Day. Thailand took the proposal to celebrate this day. 

In 2024, the theme of this day is “Connecting People and Planet: Exploring Digital Innovation in Wildlife Conservation.” This theme highlights how technology can help in protecting wildlife. 

The official website of World Wildlife Day allows everyone to organise events to celebrate this day. Countries like Egypt, Ecuador, and Italy have organised special events for this day.
